Premier EP de Morfine, "AOTH" pour "affairs of the heart". A la croisée des genres et surtout très personnels, ces trois titres condensent l'essentiel de ses rêveries. Douceur.

"AOTH" as for "affairs of the heart" is the title that young composer and songwriter Estelle Morfin aka Morfine has chosen for her debut single and it couldn't fit better this deeply moving 3-tracker affair.
Nice-born artist delivers a gem of an ep which unfolds like a personal diary filled with emotions of a rare sincerity.
These are common and overused words when it comes to describing music but here, it's just what it is.. Real, authentic tunes at skin level out of several influences at the crossroads of genres
Morfine is a one-of-a-kind creative person, bright talent in the pure state busily working on her own music, both writing, singing and producing..
A very independent artist who doesn't need much more than herself to go ahead and make something new out of nothing.. Well, as she says:
"a girl, a synth and a lot of dreams"
On this first single, she got to make a perfect summary of her musical background (9 years of harpsichord) with her consuming passion of electronic music in the broad sense (mentionning Apparat and Der Zyklus as some of her main influences)
The first track "Aussi" shows its colours from the very first seconds.. A flowing and futuristic song outside of the overrun grounds driven by complex yet damn evident melodies.
September is of the same magnitude.. High-tech pop! More "structured", probably brighter and catchier but keeping that cosmic elegance.
"Bibou" softly closes the curtains with a slice of desire. What's amazing with Morfine is that she has a worldclass voice yet she doesn't make too much of it, making it rare and unpredictable.. She may aim to provide an uplifting kind of frustration.. Anyway, it works and brings love even when it's not raining!
